Everything about how a profile token is launched, traded, graduated and paid out, in plain words. Every number on this page is read from the live configuration, so it says what is deployed, not what we meant to deploy.

Overview

HOMOpad is a parody launchpad on Solana where every token is a profile: a face, a name, a bio and a ticker. Each profile trades on a bonding curve priced in $HOMOinu, and once the curve sells out it graduates into a Meteora DAMM v2 pool.

Launching, the curve and graduation are Meteora's Dynamic Bonding Curve; graduated pools are Meteora DAMM v2. HOMOpad is a configuration on those programs plus this website, not a separate exchange.

How a launch works

  1. Mint

A launch mints a fixed supply of 1,000,000,000 tokens with 6 decimals. Nobody keeps mint or update authority, not the creator and not HOMOpad: the supply can never grow and the name and picture can never be swapped out from under holders.

  2. Curve

80% of the supply sells on a bonding curve. Buys push the price up, sells push it down; there is no order book and no counterparty to wait for.

  3. Graduation

When the curve has raised its target, it closes and the remaining 20% of the supply plus everything raised seed a Meteora DAMM v2 pool. Trading continues there, at the same 1% fee.

Pairs

A profile trades against one asset, its pair, on the curve and in the graduated pool, and its fees arrive in that asset. Every new launch pairs with $HOMOinu. Each pair is its own Meteora config with its own graduation target, sized in dollars when the config was created and fixed in tokens from then on.

A profile keeps the terms of the config it launched under forever. Each profile page says which pair it trades in.

Fees

Every buy and sell pays 1%, on the curve and after graduation. Trading fees are split:

Anti-snipe launch fee

The first trade on a new profile pays 95%. It falls to the usual 1% over 30 seconds, which makes buying the first block expensive without punishing anyone who shows up a minute later. The creator's own opening buy, bundled into the launch transaction, pays the normal fee instead.

Launching costs 0.07 SOL plus account rent, paid by the launcher's wallet. Holders are not paid from fees: there are no holder rewards.

Buy and burn

The platform's 20% is burned, not kept, wherever it can be burned as it is:

  • Fees in $HOMOinu are burned as $HOMOinu. On the curve they are burned in the same transaction that claims them.
  • Fees in the profile token, which a graduated pool charges on its other side, are burned as they are, inside the creator's claim.
  • Fees in $GRND go to HOMOpad. Burning someone else's token would not buy back ours.

Every burn is a public on-chain transaction.

Claiming creator fees

Creators claim on Portfolio. They sign the transaction and pay its network fee.

  • On the curve the creator's 80% is held apart from the moment it is charged. The creator claims it directly from Meteora's program; nothing of HOMOpad's is in the way, and the claim does not touch the platform's share.
  • After graduation the fees sit on HOMOpad's position, so the claim needs HOMOpad's co-signature. HOMOpad builds the claim and co-signs it; one transaction pays the creator their share and burns the platform's.

A creator who never claims costs nobody anything; the fees wait.

Launching a profile

Open Launch, connect a wallet and fill in the profile: a name, a tagline, a picture, a ticker (2 to 10 characters, A–Z and 0–9) and a bio. Pick the pair, optionally add an opening buy, review, and sign.

  • The picture and metadata are pinned to IPFS before the token exists, so wallets and explorers show the profile correctly from the first block.
  • The launcher's own wallet signs and pays for the launch. HOMOpad never signs a launch, never holds the SOL that pays for it and never holds the tokens.
  • Nothing about the token can be edited afterwards.

No face handy? Homofy makes one, and hands it straight to the launch form.

Trading

Browse profiles on Discover or one at a time on Swipe: left to pass, right to match and open the buy panel. Each profile page shows its price, its progress to graduation and its bodycount, the number of wallets holding it.

Don't hold the asset a profile is priced in? The buy panel tops you up from SOL or USDC through Jupiter, in the same transaction as the buy where it fits, or as a separate one first where it does not.

Homofy

Homofy turns a portrait into a 3D furry version of whoever is in it. One generation costs 0.002 SOL, paid to HOMOpad.

Credits, not refunds

If a generation fails, your payment stays unspent as a credit for a free retry. Payments are never refunded: the service that checks them holds no key that could send money back, on purpose.

$GRND is not a normal token

Profiles paired with $GRND are priced in a tokenised Grindr share issued by Backpack Securities. HOMOpad did not issue it and does not control it. Its issuer holds powers an ordinary token's does not:

  • They can pause all transfers, halting every $GRND trade here at once.
  • They can freeze individual accounts.
  • They hold a permanent delegate: they can move $GRND out of any account, including a locked pool.

Locked is locked against us, not against the issuer

The 10% of a graduated pool that is locked is locked against the creator and against HOMOpad, never against $GRND's issuer.

What you have to trust

Less than usual, but not nothing. Plainly:

  • The curve, graduation and fee split are Meteora's programs. HOMOpad cannot change them for a profile that has launched.
  • Graduated-pool fee claims need HOMOpad's co-signature. If that service is down, the claim waits; the fees stay on the position.
  • Pair assets issued by third parties can be paused, frozen or moved by their issuers.

Seen enough?

Profile tokens are speculative and most go to zero. Not financial advice.
